I know what you are thinking: What the heck??
I'm glad you asked.

After my "Tönende Handschrift" artwork this is the second fanart about a rather obscure piece of animation.

This time it's "Experimental Animation" a.k.a. "The Peanut Vendor", a 3 minute-short from 1933 by New Zealand-born Len Lye: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mu0st3…

Yes, it might not be groundbreaking, it even is kind of creepy.
But it fascinated me enough to keep stuck in my head (also the song). In fact it is still impressing (a singing monkey animated after a song in a time when movies began to become talkies, etc.).
And afterwards I had the fun idea of re-designing that monkey as if it should be shown again in today's age, also in order to make it look a bit less creepy (decreeped, if you will...does this word make sense to you in this context? I hope so).
