Strawberry tart with some rat

"What's for afters?"
"Well there's rat cake ... rat sorbet ... rat pudding ... or strawberry tart."
"Strawberry tart?!"
"Well, it's got some rat in it."

Today my father celebrated his 60th birthday!
Such a happy event needs a special cake!

I must admit that I had the idea pretty quickly.
My dad and I are big fans of Monty Python, a group of great comedians like John Cleese and Graham Chapman.
Of course we love the show "Monty Pythons flying circus" much as well (it's my favourite show #1).
And that is where the idea for this tart came from.

It's from the Episode 29 "The Money Programme", the sketch is called "Dead bishop sketch".
At the beginning an older couple argues about the horrible food the wife is making. First she cookes "rabbitfish" and then she offers a row of disgusting desserts.
And I love it
My dad also was impressed by this special cake (it tastes pretty good btw).
The dead rats are made of marzipan which my dad loves anyway (with food colour).

But the credit also goes to my lovely big sister who gave me a hand sometimes!
