Making History - Making Harmony

For the DeviantArt "Celebrate Pride Month" project.

So I chose the colour blue out of the rainbow flag (representing harmony resp. peace or serenity) and as a motif one of my favourite fictional couples: Michael and Steve from the novel "Making History" by Stephen Fry. Which is also one of my favourite books.
First of all: I pretty much like every colour there but also love blue very much. I also looked at the submissions by other artists so far and checked which colours were taken more often than others.
And second: This picture kinda shows what the life of Michael and Steve could look like after the events of the book: finally living together in peace and harmony, in a world where homosexuality is far more (though still not enough) accepted than in the world Steve has experienced.
Michael is a young English dude (the dark-haired, sitting one), Steve is an American (the fair-haired one). Both are university students and seemingly love to drink coffee and relax together and also to do that under chestnut trees.

But I'm here to describe my drawing right now.

And since it's Pride Month: If you wanna know about my own sexual direction, well...nothing to be proud of. Just your average, boring heterosexual friend there but very interested in the LGBT culture. And living by the motto: As long as the partners are old enough, want to be with each other and/or want to live out their sexuality and aren't forced into anything, anything's fine by me. And I can't see why gays for example shouldn't marry or raise children if they wish to do that.
In fact, it fits that I upload this pic right now since I wanna check out the Zurich Pride Festival tomorrow .
