The Pirate Captain

Three days ago I saw the newest Aardman production in the cinema: "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists" (a.k.a. "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" in the USA).
I enjoyed the movie very much although it had some weaknesses I couldn't overlook (a certain little lack of originality and surprises), still: it's a great movie with overwhelming visuals, exciting scenes, mostly well-done gags, very good voice-actors and of course: loveable characters!

My favourite character in this movie for sure is the main character, the Pirate Captain (yes, that's his name).
He is the boss of a wacky pirate crew, loves his dodo as much as he loves gold and adventure, has great ambitions and has a wonderful large beard
Also he is voiced by Hugh Grant and for the first time I sort of like Hugh Grant all the sudden (also because now he despises the roles he used to play in movies like I do). Anyway, he doesn't sound bad at all as a pirate captain, I was very surprised!

So I wanted to draw my first "Pirates" fanart and start with the Captain. And please notice that I created a pose of my own, not copying any screenshot or poster material
I hope I'll do at least one more fanart (I have some ideas) but the Captain has to be in it.
Because he sure is hot . Yes, I love this guy. And that's also Aardman's fault since they are masters in animating emotions and face expressions really well.
