This is my first fanart about the novel "The Hippopotamus" by Stephen Fry.
I have made several fanarts about another novel and about Fry himself. This time it's the novel I finished completely last.
It's a fictional story about an older journalist of London who has to do a puzzling mission by his fatally ill goddaughter. He has to live for a while with her rich members of the family and document every detail about them for her secretly.
Don't worry, this motif doesn't spoil much because it's a scene from the beginning of the book. You can see the main character (btw: his name is Ted Wallace) sitting in a bar in London, looking in the mirror - a scene described by himself in the book. And you see the goddaughter of him whom he hasn't recognized yet.
Everything in this pic is designed by myself, of course the characters were described in one way or another by the author (that the girl is blond etc.).
Drawn with crayons (and with some tiny Photoshop edits like the text).
love The Hippopotamus, one my fave by Mr.Fry tehe, love this drawing, nicely done
-- It doesn't work like that. Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty. It's not the time that matters, it's the person. the Doctor

I guess you won't regret reading the book. Stephen Fry writes good stories
If you want you can tell me later what you think of it.
